Emergency Exit Seats

Emergency Exit Seats are available to Customers who:

  1. Are able-bodied.
  2. Are above 15 years of age on the date of travel.
  3. Are not expectant mothers.
  4. Are not classified as invalid (as defined in DGCA CAR - Section 8, Series O, Part VIII, Issue I)
  5. Are not temporarily affected by an illness that impairs mobility.
  6. Can:
  1. Locate the emergency exit.
  2. Recognize the emergency exit opening mechanism.
  3. Understand the instructions for operating the emergency exit.
  4. Operate the emergency exit.
  5. Follow oral directions and hand signals given by a crew member.
  6. Stow or secure the emergency exit door to allow use of the exit.
  7. Swiftly move through the emergency exit
  8. Assess, choose, and follow a safe path away/to the emergency exit.
  9. Are not travelling with an infant.


FLY91 has the discretion to assign Emergency Exit Seats and other seats to Customers, considering prescribed security standards and the safety and comfort of all Customers on the flight.

If a Customer, who pre-booked an Emergency Exit Seat, does not meet the safety criteria for occupying such a seat, they may be requested to change their seat.
