Mishandled Baggage

FLY91's policy regarding damaged, delayed, or lost Checked-in Baggage is as follows:

Liability Limitations:

  1. FLY91's liability is subject to the limitations specified in the Carriage by Air Act, 1972, and any exceptions, adjustments, or amendments notified by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India.
  2. For lost or damaged Checked-in Baggage, FLY91's liability is capped at INR 350/Kg, with a maximum liability of INR 20,000.
  3. Liability for delayed Checked-in Baggage is determined at FLY91's discretion based on the prevailing policy.


Irregularity Report Requirement:

  1. Customers must raise an irregularity report in case of baggage loss while at the destination airport upon arrival, not after departing.


Exemptions from Liability:

  1. FLY91 will not provide compensation for indirect, consequential, or remote reasons related to lost, delayed, or damaged Checked-in Baggage.
  2. FLY91 is not liable if the cause of loss, delay, or damage is the inherent defect or quality of the Checked-in Baggage or negligence on the part of the customers.
  3. FLY91 is exempt from liability if it can demonstrate taking all reasonable measures to prevent loss, delay, or damage or if it was impossible to take such measures.
  4. If customers' negligence or wrongful acts contributed to the loss, delay, or damage, FLY91 may be partially or fully exempt from liability.


Customer Responsibility:

  1. Customers are entirely responsible for Hand Baggage and personal belongings, and FLY91 bears no liability for any loss or damage related to them.
  2. FLY91 is not responsible for the loss or damage of cash, valuable, fragile, or perishable items.
  3. FLY91 is not liable for wear and tear to Checked-in Baggage, including specific instances listed in the policy.
  4. Customers are solely accountable for any loss or damage caused by their Checked-in Baggage to any person or property, including FLY91's property, and FLY91 will not be held liable to any third party in connection to this.
